The KASEDA-NYIF 2024 Sensitization Program is an initiative aimed at empowering the youth of Katsina State through comprehensive awareness and training sessions on the Nigerian Youth Investment Fund (NYIF). The program seeks to educate young entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners about the opportunities, application processes, and benefits associated with the NYIF.

Objectives:

  1. Awareness Creation: Increase awareness among the youth about the existence and benefits of the NYIF.
  2. Capacity Building: Provide training and resources to help young entrepreneurs develop viable business plans and proposals.
  3. Access to Funding: Facilitate access to the NYIF by guiding participants through the application process.
  4. Entrepreneurial Development: Foster a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among the youth in Katsina State.
  5. Economic Growth: Contribute to the economic development of Katsina State by supporting the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Target Audience:

  • Youth aged 18-35 residing in Katsina State
  • Aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners
  • Unemployed graduates and school leavers

Program Components:

  1. Information Sessions:
    • Overview of the NYIF and its objectives
    • Eligibility criteria and application process
    • Success stories and case studies from previous beneficiaries
  2. Workshops and Training:
    • Business plan development
    • Financial literacy and management
    • Marketing and sales strategies
    • Legal and regulatory requirements for starting a business
  3. Application Support:
    • Step-by-step guidance on completing the NYIF application form
    • One-on-one consultations with business advisors
    • Assistance with document preparation and submission
  4. Mentorship and Networking:
    • Connect participants with experienced entrepreneurs and business mentors
    • Networking opportunities with potential investors and business partners

Expected Outcomes:

  • Increased number of youth-led businesses applying for and receiving funding from the NYIF
  • Enhanced entrepreneurial skills and knowledge among the youth in Katsina State
  • Greater economic participation and job creation within the local community
